To some degree but at least we have a choice of several print and other media outlets to choose from. Somewhere between CNN and Fox there is some truth.

For state/local issues you learn more on the street just talking to people.

Since NH is still a small state we have, what I think, is much better access to our elected officials and can get answers and things taken care of over a cup of coffee.
Heck, my state rep owns the local junkyard, I'm always over there anyway and he loves to bend my ear since we've been friends over 30 years.
That kind of access is what got us Street Rod plates and minimal inspection and no hassles from cops.

When a new person comes on the board without a proper introduction, they get slammed. Many times they are told that this is like a garage and proper ettiquette(sp?) is required. In MY garage, anything is open for discussion and factual debate is, to me, interesting....note I said factual....not rumors and propaganda.

I know Ryan doesn't care for off topic subjects, but I think I remember him saying that text isn't the problem...pictures are. Check out some of the "regular off topic posters" topics and its apparent this thread hasn't been too terrible.
