It's kind of a long storrry so bear with me.
So a good good freind of mine calls me in the morning and says "hey I got something you might want, I did a grading job for this guy and he gave me a 51 Studebaker roadster pickup, I know you aint got no money and your ex made you sell you just finished '49, so do you want it?". I tell him hell yea, but I don't have any money so thanks anyway. He fires back "I did'nt ask if you wanted to buy it, I asked if you WANTED it? As in for free sucka" I'm on the other end of the phone speachless and all I can stammer out is "well...uh...fuck....yea...but I don't have anywhere to put the damn thing". He says well ya' better find somewhere 'cause I goinf to pick it up and the wifey don't want it around, so you'll have to find a place like tonight! So I call another buddy and tell him whats going down. He says call me back in 4 hours. And lo and behold when I call back he tells me "hey, I just finnished cleaning ou the garrage and moving the cars around out back so you would have some room, bring it on by". So now I have a '51 Stude roadster pickup with a '55 Chevy bed and a C-sectioned frame, a place to store and work on it and the knowledge that I have the one of the hardest things to find, good freinds. Oh yea here is a pick, I'll try to get some better ones later.

That whole situation is very cool man. I have been blessed with good friends in my life as well and there is nothing like it. I think it inspires one to be a better and more generous person themselves.

It is also one of the great things I've noticed about the HAMB. People will help each other for no other reason than to be of help and that just plain rocks.

I've had people be so kind as to sell me things at a wicked deal and then help BRING them to me because I couldn't go get them.

Or maybe it just means that people should seek out hoodlums as friends more often. LOL

link,

i've never met you, but i'm guessing that this is a classic case of "if you ARE a good friend then you'll HAVE good friends..."
