I'm looking for some ideas for nerf bars to build for my '34 five window coupe. Here's a pic without the grille shell on yet.

I want to save some weight and add some style by pulling off the bumpers and building something myself. Anyone have some example pics that might look good on the car?

I second the general shape of Donzie's pic--a vertical shallow S on each side of grill, maybe tubular, maybe made from flat plate. In back, the bar should be something horizontal. Maybe a traditional full width oval of tubing, maybe something drag themed like the piece of 4" tube with end caps gassers used but without the ton of lead inside...

I'm sure zack would have no problem making something like these. They're simple, but clean and would look good chromed, thats my $0.02

by the way I asked mark if he knew you and he knew you well enough to know that you had a very fast car and are crazy for flatheads.

Thanks ,keep the ideas coming.
Here's a nerf I like.
Seen last year on a roadster almost exactly like mine. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
