Help: Holes in my dash. Stock or not?

Hey All,

JiveBomber and I were trying to figure out if the two pictured holes are stock on my 41 Ford Pickup dash. He and I could not figure out what would go in them stock. The previous owner removed the heater unit. Maybe they were supposed to hold knobs that controlled the amount of heater air to each window?

I was thinking of using them to mount turn signal flashers, but that may be too goofy.

Anyone know what these are for?

41 Ford air conditioning! Well almost. Maybe someone had defrost fans mounted in those holes.

well i dont have pictures and my truck is too far away to take pictures model 99 1941 the holes had the vacumm knobs for each wiper ,i have no idea if that is what is supossed to be there but mine are

I think oldchevyseller is right. I was thinkin that there was only one control.........now I member....one for each wiper!

I believe he has a wiper control on the dash, just to the left outside the picture.

I went out and looked at some of my 40 Ford trucks. They all have one hole and its on the drivers side.

Good thought, but I have only one vaccum wiper (that works!) and the knob is more to the driver's side and not in this photo. I'll see if anyone else has ideas, but I'm thinking someone put these holes in there for SOMETHING at one point, but who knows what.

Would make good mounting holes for Hula Girls I guess...
