NE HAMBERS Mt Washington NH Vintage Hillclimb race 7/10

Although I have never attended the event, for the first time since 2001, the "Climb To The Clouds" Vintage auto (and vintage race car) time trials up New Hampshire's Mount Washington will be held on July 10th.


Maybe some NH Hambers who attended past climbs can chime in, but I have been told some very cool old race cars show up for this event (many of them pretty much never show up at local car shows and concourses).

though it was smaller, the Mt. Equinox hillclimb just north of here a couple weekends ago brought out a few nice cars. Mostly Lotuses and Porsche 356s, but I also saw a Fiat Abarth 1000 (rare car), an Allard (loud and obnoxious in a good way), a couple Bugattis and what looked to be a Model T running an almost stock drivetrain and a narrowed, boattailed body. If I would've had a camera that weekend, I would've taken pictures. I may end up going to Mt. Washington for work purposes anyway. If I do, I'll definitely grab some shots.

I was JUST looking at the website today. There are a few cool pics of the race going back to 1905.

Unfortunately, I was checking the site out with some Rally race guys, so I didn't really get to see too many of the cool cars.

Anyone planning on going to this event on Saturday?? I have found myself in Brunswick Maine working this week and am thinking about checking this out..

Just made my arrangements today. I'll be up the hill while it's going on, but I'll likely cruise the car show afterwards.
