I am getting ready to write a story and post here on the HAMB and wondering How do I lock it up until all the pages have been placed consecutively, without anyone jumping in the middle somewhere?

There is no way for a user to do that.
You could write it all in word or notepad/wordpad and then copy it over.
Or you can write it in multiple "posts" and them pm to delete and posts that interrupt your flow...

Or Write them in multiple posts -have a moderator close each post after writing it, and then merge all the posts into one after you have finished.

This is how I do it and I do this all the time on here.
First I type everything out in word, including copying and pasting the photo tags from Photobucket. The HAMB only allows 20 images per post and that includes smilies so I then determine how many posts total I will need.
Lets just say for example I have 100 images with my text that I want to post, I divide that by 20 which leaves me with 5 seperate posts that I would like all in consecutive order on one thread. I then copy from word the first text part including the 20 images and paste into a new thread.
This is the good part.......I then immediately reply 4 times to my own thread with something like 111111, then 222, 3333, 4444, on each seperate reply, that way I have "saved" my space in order. I then go back and edit in the text and images I want in the exact order I want and there are no replies from anyone else in the middle.
Look at any of my event coverage posts that are mulitipal posts from me in the same thread. None of them have comments from others in between my stuff. The only way someone could possibley reck this is if they really didn't read by whole first post and just made a reply faster then I could reply to my own thread.
Clear as mudd???:D
