anyone have some pics of a stand or guide they have made to help cut straight lines with a torch?

I clamp a length of angle to the metal. I space it up with some scrap to let the flame disperse. I have a homemade circle cutter attachment that I sometimes use to set the heigth. I just drag it along the angle iron.

No pics, but I have good results by clamping a piece of angle iron to part to be cut, then use the upright portion of angle iron to guide torch head, running upper part of torch head against angle iron.

I use a piece of angle resting on its toes so the point is up like a tent. Tacked alongside one toe is a piece of 3/4" or 1" dia. rod that's resting on the same plane as the angle's toes and is the same length as the angle. Using the rod as a guide keeps the torch tip close to the material being cut and leaves a small amount of room for the flame spread. Works for me.
