He went to the big salvage in the sky at 4:43pm tonight. Tulsa Deadtown 8 are struggling with our loss. We need all the support we can get at this time.
Our love and thanks for everyone and everything that HAMBers have done.
Please tell all your buddies you love them and let them know how much they mean to you. Fuck the tough man act. You never know when you last time is gonna be.

.......we're all gonna' die. That's a given. It isn't how you die, it's all about how you live. If you pass and one person remembers you fondly, you've done well. It sounds as though Sean is remembered fondly by a LOT of people. That says a lot about how he lived HIS life! As long as you are remembered by one person, you live on. Journey well Sean............... http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

MAN!!!!!!!!!!!! THIS SUX. Sean was the kat who kept care of all of us. He was the dude who picked up after everyone else's sloppy asses, cuz he was that kinda guy. No negative remarks, always calm and collected and a fuckin kool guy to talk to. Everyone has their "own" buddy like that, and Sean was that to me and many other people.
Tell everyone you love 'em. Live life like everyday day is your last and just be happy.
Take care of one another,

This is absolutely unbelievable... the story hit me hard when I first saw it this morning, but this news of his passing totally caught me off-guard. I'm sincerely sorry for your loss - those of you who got to meet or know Sean seem to be glad you had the chance to... that says a lot about the guy. I can't make this weekend's shindig, but I'll contribute in the other ways.
Make every day count... seriously.

Monkey.......My family is thinking of Sean and his family....god speed...When I mentioned this to my wife last night we just sat stunned and spoke of mans inhumanity to man...never met Sean or his wife....they seemed to be much in love from the posted pics....A fella just trying to work his deal in life.....I sure hope they have capital punishment in Tulsa(I am not sure what state that is...forgive me)
At the very least I hope someone will shank the S.O.B.
We across the 49th are deeply shocked and saddened.

Say hello to all the greats for us, Sean...and keep a few barstools open for us...
"To live in hearts we leave behind...is not to die."
Sean was obviously a good person with many friends...he has passed through the childhood of his immortality, as the old quote goes, and will live on forever in the hearts and minds of those that knew and loved him...and in those of us who were not fortunate enough to have met him, but are burdened by the sadness of his passing just the same.
The world has lost a decent man...but Heaven has gained another angel.
My deepest sympathies to the family and friends of Sean Howard, they are in our thoughts and prayers this somber night...

......the accomplishments and deeds of a man are measured by the memories and friends he leaves behind.
It is obvious to me that Sean Howard was a very rich man, in that he has inspiring friends like Rashy, Monkey and the rest of the Tulsa gang that were motivated to action.
I thought about Sean and his friends all day at work. Trying to figure out ways to use my art to make quick money for this man and his family.
Then to come home now and find out this. Truly a sad day.
Please accept my hearfelt condolences and prayers. May God bless Sean and his family and friends.

Such a terrible thing...truely sad.
Never met him but sounds like a real stand up guy.
One of my girls (she's 7) asked me what I was doing as I wrote this. I told her the story of Sean and she asked me if there were hot rods in heaven? I said of course. She smiled and said he can be happy forever building hot rods with God. Kinda choked me up.

Monkey and other's,
Hey I know I never have posted and don't really know each other. I guess I am always a "lurker" here and at Deadtown. Anyways....I have frequented Deadtown and "the shop" many times and Sean was always a great guy and was cool to everyone. I know I am not well known, but I just wanted to say that my family was praying for Sean since the moment we found out. I can't imagine the feelings of close friends and family. I had some tears running down my cheeks and I was just an aquaintence.
Sorry for everyone's loss. I will be at the gettogether tonight to make my donation. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help, since I am locally, let me know.
...guess I don't really know the right thing to say. I just hope Sean is banging some gears upstairs.
Sean didn't just die, he was murdered. I can't imagine the terror he went through whilst he was being assaulted by that POS maniac.
I cannot understand how someone can take a life like that, it's beyond my comprehension.
there are no words that I can so to offer any consololation to his friends and family, other than to say I'm deeply sorry.

As one of Sean's buddies, I would like to thank you all. Sean epitomized everything that makes a great man. This man was not confrontational, but easy going and genuinely cared about people. He employed bums on the street. He cared about our community and what possibilities it had. When I would talk with him, it was always real. He always focused on our conversations and seemed to absorb everything we'd talk about. I hate that I didn't Deadtown it every weekend, but Sean always made sure I was welcome every time I came around. If they had a BBQ, he'd make sure I had enough to eat, ya know all of the "mi casa su casa" stuff. He was more excited about the "scene" at Deadtown, than actually making money. He'd tell me, "Year by year, it's getting better and better, but it's not about that. It's about being kool, hangin out and having fun." He loved his business, his friends and the Tulsa community, and we all loved him for that. He loved the kar shows and being around others who dug em just as much. The Deadtown 8 (his car club) are truly grief stricken, as everyone should be, but they and all the rest of us are going to carry on his legacy and plans for bigger better things.
This show WILL carry on.
Thank you all for every ounce of heartfelt sentiment,
Reverend Jake

This is truly sad news and my heart goes out to all that called him friend or family. I teach and coach in high school and lost a player/friend to cancer two years ago at 17. She was like my own daughter. Afterwards while trying to make sense of it all I took solice in the thought that when GOD chooses to shine his light on the rest of us sinners through someone as awesome as she was (and it sounds like Sean was the samw way, Always worried about others and not themselves, etc..) that the light is so bright that it burns out alot sooner than it should. Maybe thats why the assholes live the longest, because the light is already out. It helps me to look at it that way.
GOD loaned you guys an angle for a while but now hw needs him back.

Man that sucks I just found out today about it all. I didn't know him that well but I do believe I met him at dewey this year with monkey and everyone. Our heartfelt sympathy's go out to everyone from my wife brigit and I. Monkey if you need to talk or anything call me..
I think the man that did this needs to die a very horrible and very very very very pain full death..... This makes me so DAMN angry somebody could do something like that over what was probably nothing. I can't make it to tulsa this weekend but hopefully we can scrape some cash together and send it in for the fund. This saddens me greatly but I would try to think about it this way:
"Don't be sad because he passed Be Happy that he Lived!!"
I hope his friends and family get they're due REVENGE over this. I'm sorry I feel this way but this is very fucked up. I've been thinking about this all day today and how very very fucked up this is. I hope his wife, family, and friends are doing ok in they're time of need. My heart goes out to them all.

Man, that is really bad news. The only thing I can say is that Sean is no longer suffering. His wife and friends need our support during this tough time. I only hope we can show the same as Sean gave to others form what i have read.
And I sincerely hope something really awful happens to that piece of shit that murdered Sean.

Today, is Sunday. The show was a good turn out for such a short notice. Thankfully no rain, but humid as hell (literally). It would have tickled Sean to know he brought out so many 20's and 30's cars. Those folks NEVER bring their kars out. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif We had a nice collection of kool kars from late twenties to late sixties and early seventies.
I know Sean would very proud to know that he made such a difference in so many lives, even in people he never met. I have friends and family from out of state drumming up what they can for Sean. Wow, to know that is amazing in it's own right. I AM PROUD that I got to know him and call him friend.
As of right now, there is not a concrete date set for services that I know of. We'll keep you posted as it becomes available.
We raised a few bucks for Sean, but ALL donations are STILL needed.
Thank you to everyone, you kats (and kittens) REALLY make a difference.

Damn.
I'd only told my wife a few hours ago about the appeal for funds. I'm utterly choked.
I don't presume to speak for anyone but myself but I'm sure I speak for every rodder in the UK when I say that we are all incredibly saddened by this loss. Please pass my deepest condolences to Sean's wife and family.

Been away most of the weekend and just checked in. This is indeed sad news. I know all the outpouring of help and support will be of comfort to his friends and family, but those of you who were close remember that after a week or two despite the best intentions life starts to get in the way, and the calls stop coming, a friends get on with thier lives. It is then that the emotional support is needed even more. It sounds like Sean had a lot of good pals in the Tulsa area that will make sure that happens. I assume all the fund raising will continue so I'll get involved with that tomorrow and continue to keep all involved in my prayers.

Monkey, Rashy and the rest of the Tulsa rodders, I am very saddened by your loss of an obviously dear friend.
I seems especially sad when a person dies at a young age, but it is not only the length of a person's lifespan that counts so much as the quality in which they led their life. I never met him, but from what I have learned of him today, it is abvious that he did have a FULL life.
On the other hand, the clueless fuck that hit him with a pipe could live 300 years and still never begin to understand what life is about.
My thoughts are with Sean's friends and loved ones.

Bad news indeed. Every one was pulling hard for him. I didn't know the kat but you can just tell from folk's messages that this is a great loss within our automotive community.
It is really a piss-off that there are people around that think they can take a life over pissing on a wall.
Our prayers and blessings go out to all affected by his tragic end.

I'm really sad to hear all of this. I had just read an email today that Curious Rash had sent me about what happened and I'm just now playing catch up and reading about all of this. I guess all I can do at this point is say a prayer for his family and friends and his girlfriend.
I am pretty much broke most of the time with 3 kids, and all that, but I think I can scratch together something to help with funeral expenses. Sounds as though he should have a nice funeral and those are expensive these days. Please PM
me a mailing address and I will see if I can send out something to help with these expenses. God Speed Sean...
