Model A banjo/use it or lose it?

I have a 30 Model A rearend with mech. brakes . I need to know if this will work with a 40 Ford juice brakes or another conversiton or would I be better getting into a 46-48 for a setup in a duece with a mild 8ba and a 53 truck trans. just need to get my bone yard finds compatable and keep the budget down. Any thoughts?:confused:
