Greetings guys,
Could you help identify this rear in my '41. It is stamped "GM" but that is about all I know.

55-62 corvette or 55-64 chevy passenger car? They all had the front removeable pumpkin. 55-57 were fitted to leaf spring rears, I forget how the corvette mounted, 58-64 would have some sort of trailing arm set up originally.

I will replace the gaskets and see what happens. How long will it hold up to a chevy 350HO crate motor with a B&M 350TH?

That rearend is exactly what the rest said, 55-64 Chevy.
I have one on my 37 Chevy truck and no problems. But the truck is light and the tire spins before anything breaks. They are not the strongest rearends, you will break it if you abuse it. The automatic helps ease the shock loads a lot, so i think you will be OK, unless you have a real strong engine and lots of traction.
