Just had heads off my 430 ( new valve stem seals, & hardened valve seats ) runs evenly but there is now terrible tappit noise and slack in some of the push rods. I thought it may be lack of oil pressure not moving the tappits, but took the switch off and oil comes out, rods are seated ok, have ran engine for ten mins but no slack taken up by tappits moving up ( if indeed they are down to far ) Can anyone help??

What was the original color of your Linc? Just wondering...

sounds like they might have ground the tips of the valve too far down and caused the slack, only thing I can think of.
