F100 brakes on 40 spindles ??????

I'm trying to make the F100 brakes work on the round 40 spindles. I had the backing plate bolted on and the only problem I have is the brake hose. It comes out of the wheel cylinder at a little bit of an angle down. If I use these I will have to grind at least an inch out of the spindle to get the hose in. Do I have the wrong wheel cylinders? Or do you have to grind that much out to make them work?

You do have to grind the 40 spindles to use the F100 brakes but make sure you have the backing plates on the correct side. They clock about 10 degrees different from each other and if you have them on the wrong side you will have to grind a lot more of the spindle.
