Powerglide Question?(Shorty)

How complicated is it to convert a powerglide to a shorty glide.Is it a bolt on deal, or a serious modification? Thanx Larry

You have to pull the thing completely apart and replace the output shaft... if you've taken auto trans apart before... it shouldn't be a big deal. HP has books on it that you could follow.

I will point out that the output shaft is part of the planetary carrier assembly.

Not just a simple output shaft swap out
