So...what DO I own? '51 or '52 Olds?

<font color="green"> OK, so my grandfather gave me an Olds years ago and always told me it was a '51. I don't have the title for it, he's never found it. I never found any pics online that matched it though, I never really looked too hard. Today I find a few on carnut.com but the only one that looks like mine is a '52. I'm going by the turn signals under the headlights. All the 49-51 have rounded turn signal housings but mine has a square look to it. This one online has the same. Even has the same wraparound rear window and is a post model two door. Exactly the same except mine has bashed in front fenders and looks like death chewin on a cracker.

So, do I have a '51 or '52?

My buddies 52 Olds vert has those squarer indicators, but then his has odd ones as well. Can you tell via a VIN no.?

It's definatly a 51. All 52's had a "tooth" in the center of the grille bar.

<font color="green"> I finally got a pic of the VIN. Was just gonna write it down but after what I had to go through just to get to my own damn car, I'm gettin evidence. I assume the 51 means 1951.

Oh and Paul, I can't read the lens. Somewhere in the last twelve years I decided to put masking tape over the taillights. </font>

Definately a 51, I just looked it up in my book. like they said, 52 has an extra tooth in the grill.
