HEY, I know that car... didn't that used to be MrGasser's?
Be careful, it has a tendency to run out of gas. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Lookin' good Tim, nice scallops. Keep us posted on the progress.
Here's one I picked up recently. I'm not saying the guy was shady or anything but he wanted to do the deal in a McDonald's parking lot.
I removed a few items to lighten the car up a bit. I'm thinkin' about drag racing it. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Looks good Don!
Race it huh? I ran a 20.12 ET the weekend before we dealt http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
It's a runner!
BTW, Jeff grabbed up a set of www's today from a local guy, so he wanted me to let you know.

Tim, I just gotta say, I am thrilled with this car. It's the body style I've always wanted and it runs and drives really good. Once I take care of the few little things it needs I can concentrate on doing more "custom" things to it. I'd like to french the headlights and some tail lights.
I may switch out the powerglide for a Turbo 350 and I'd like to lower it about another inch.
Hope to see you again this year at a show somewhere. You should try to make it up to Detroit for the Broken Dream Cruise in Sept.

Cool Don.
I, too, am thrilled with the coupe. My wife is warming up nicely. She actually did most of the interior work, including removing the seats!!
The buckets are going next week, got a bench.
The glass is "in progress", I bought all new rubber and window channels last sat.
I'm leaving the exterior mostly as it is now until fall, then it comes apart. Just added some scallops and striping for a different look.
The Holley is also going, and the heads and valvecovers soon to follow. I think I can make it much stronger with a fresh set of 327 heads.
Lots of plans. One thing at a time! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

(BIG EXHALING SIGH)....I miss my coupe! Looks like Donnie, and now, Grumpy, have been taking good care of it. I had 9 years, and a lota miles under my butt in that car, and I only ran outa gas twice!...kinda cool it's still in, "the family".
...(and, Don, the Broken Kruise is in August, the weekend BEFORE the Woodward Dream Cruise)...

Hey Guys,
What is it with you two. You both are doin a great job with each other's car. Why couldn't you have done it with your own car http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif I guess we all need a something a little different to get the creative juices flowing. Hummmm .... do you guys know each other's wifes..... maybe you could http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif naw I guess not. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

I like the new wheels and tires.
Whoever knows Randy? Donzie? Grumpy? what size wheels and tires are on it now?
I hate to keep a stereotype alive, but I found 3 15x7 chrome smoothies in the trash (insert FL chrome smoothie comment here. Hey, they were free! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif), and I want to run WWW on them. I need to know whether or not I need buy two wider wheels, one more the same size or two narrower(?) wheels.
P.S. If I have to buy 2 of anything, they will be the chrome OEM/Milner style wheels and switch the free ones out later.

Check Wheel Vintiques. OEM chrome were $94. each. I'm running 5x15 fronts and 7x15 rears, same price for either. Much cheaper than the Milners.

Looks great Grumpy! Good job! I like the stance and color scheme. Is that the Detroit Lean going on there on the first pic??
I intend on making the Columbus show on Saturday. Keep an eye out for me.. I hope to meet you. If you see the 37.. give a yell....

Those wheels are 15x7 rears w/235-75-15
and 15x5 front w/205-75-15
No, no Detroit lean, just my house sits on a slight grade.
yeah, I'll look for ya in Columbus PeteJoe. We'll be there by 10am Thurs. morning. it's a 4day-er for us.
Thanks for the compliments.
And MrGasser(Randy), don't fret, it's getting the full treatment this fall. This was just a quickie http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
I've always wanted a fat-fendered coupe, so it was a no-brainer for me!

Thanks, this is what it should look like, I used yours to make it.

haha, my wife will like it. She's the one sitting in the drivers seat.
The only problem with the 205 fronts is, on a 5in rim they still rub some when turning tight. I may have to go to a 195 front http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif..considering those damn tires only have 60 miles on them, plus powder-coated rims..
