OT/ Schwinn Stingrays again.........

Picked up that early Stingray mentioned last week, couldn't find a serial number anywhere, just where did Schwinn hide them. Has 2 speed rear hub and springer front end that super tall sissy bar and a daisy pattern banana seat. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

congrats on the find. look on the headtube, bottom bracket or rear dropout... it's got to be on one of the thee areas.

do a google search for the crates tons of sites gives you all the info and then some

It's gonna be on the frame right where the rear hub is. My guess is early 70's.

You were absolutely right, left outer side of frame. can't believe I didn't see it right of the bat. Bike was built march of 66, perfect. Picked a very ruff apple crate while visiting my Mom in WA state a few years ago. Made the ladies day when I oofered her 10 buckd for the rusted old bike.
