Not to ruffle the hot rod community’s feathers but why is the cut off for cool cars 1964? Wouldn’t 1959 or 1970 be more appropriate? I notice far bigger differences between 1970 and 1971 then I do between 1964 and 1965. Was 1964 chosen randomly or does it hold some significance?

A quick search of the site should provide that info, it's a question that has been asked many times.

I moved this to the Q & S Forum for you...
As far as I know, there is no strict cut off date on the HAMB. ( Main Board )
But there is one in the Classifieds.
There are some newer than '64 cars that fit very well, and some older ones that dont.
Stick around, read a lot of Posts, and you'll get a feel for it...

the '64 "cutoff" (From what I understand) is to stop this from becoming another "musclecar" site, and although some argue about the 'Vette being the first musclecar, the decision was made to allow discussion and sales of most vehicles up to and including the year 1964... when the Mustang and the MuscleCar era began. Some vehicles after the year 1964 are discussed, and some before are not, hang around and check it out - ya gotta draw a line somewhere.
