I need to buy a front end rebuild kit for my olds. My buddy got one from kanter for his 53 chebby and almost all the shit was the wrong size. Was this a isolated incident or should I be wary of the giant company with poor customer service.

My brother got his front-end kit for his '39 chevy from there. In less than 6 mos. all the rubber grease boots were rotting.

Rev, that's not an isolated deal to Kanter.

When I built my MII front end, I got my stuff from Speedway. All of the boots, including the rack and pinion bellows have cracked wide open. The upper ball joint boots fell completely off somewhere in Kansas on a trip.

I built my brother in laws Torino using PST front end kit. Same deal, a few months and all the rubber stuff is split open and puking grease everywhere.

Seems like fuel hose is deteoriating after a couple of years now, it used to last much longer. We must be getting bad rubber nowdays in everything.

Don't blame Kanter, PSt etc for rubber falling apart, it's the hole in the ozone layer.

Yeah, and it only affects the parts in the SHADE.

After spending 25 minutes on the phone with them trying to explain the size shocks I needed for my truck, I still got the wrong sizes- with the wrong ends. It's been two months now and I'm still trying to send them back, but can't get the right person on the phone...

are you sure you're buddy just isn't an idiot? what parts were the "wrong size"?

i got a front end kit from kanter for a 49-54 chevy, biggest problem was the a arm shafts were back ordered, ended up getting them like 9 months later. but i realize the kinds of lead times req to get stuff like this made, but it's still frustrating.

Me too, it's junk import city anymore.Off-shore quality has again reared it's ugly head. Quality control is rare. Material is sub-par.Urathane is more costly but longer lasting......and it come's in black more and more. Make's you wonder about belt's,hose's life span's now. This NAFTA thing is just killing everything: junk part's, job 'exported' to 3rd world county and paid lttle if anything (WALMART!).And forget regulation's safety, polluiton, ect. WE get Cheap junk. They get high proffit. There is a big 4th of July bash in Washington, D.C.Was gonna go..but their SOLD OUT. Keep looking for good part's,post the site for all.

Well my buddy is an idiot but that is beside the point. Nothing worked except the king pin, and he is also having problems getting back in touch with them. Hes been calling for three weeks now. Kanter is the only people that sell a complete rebuild kit for the olds, all other part suppliers sell it all individualy with no kind of discount. Then theres no garante it will be any better hell its all probably from the same company. If someone else knows of anybody please let the world know or atleast the HAMB world
