Have fun for all of us who can't make it.

I had to run up from Westminster to LaVerne today on business.
Went up the 605 to the 210. As I'm transistioning to the 210 I see what looks like either a Prowler or a Roadster in the distance.
I flog the wife 626 and catch up to it. Bright Red semi-old school looking rod. Find out he's the tail end of a caravan of about 15 cars, all roadsters execept for one coupe. Some we billeted and others were more traditional. Mostly 32s. I think they were outta Brizo's shop 'cuz one had the license plate "Brizos" There were plates from a couple of different states and one from Canada.

It's usually on the South side of the preferred parking and there's a large stand of really BIG trees in the middle. We've met sorta on the South side of the trees before, or there abouts.
HAMB guys are easy to spot... They look like computer geeks with dirty fingernails http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif (me included in that)
Travis,
If ya mail the parts I'll pay whatever the postage and more than the "handling" is worth, just so I don't HAVE to track someone down in that place.
It would make several good size farms if ya know what I mean!
The place is huge!
Thae have a Horse track stuffed over in one corner and a 1/4 mile drag strip stuffed in the opposite corner...

You pay to park a Saturn. You pay a little more to park a non-shiny roadster, a custom, or a non-roadster in the preferred parking right outside the area where all the SHINY roadsters park for free because it's a roadster SHOW.
Plus you pay by the head for entrance.
There is NO water to drink there except $3 bottles so take your own or take about $100 a couple to get in, eat, drink, and be merry. Plus whatever you want to spend at the swap meet or get drunk on, they sell BEER!.

Looks like $10 per car plus $12 per adult for preferred parking of pre-75 vehicles.
See you there.

Saturday.
I'm only going Saturday, anyway. (and my world revolves around me..) http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif
Sunday's gonna be hotter, according to Fritz, and the swap meet might have better deals on what's left on Sunday, but what's gonna be left?
Last year I got an early SBC spread bore intake with a Q-jet on it for $20 on Saturday.

Well, Did ya have a good time anyway?
Elmo Rodge and I were hangin around at the trees from 1:00 till 1:25 about then wandered over to the "other trees" to see if anyone was there.
I'd already met up with Jerry and Scooter who were parked just north of the trees, and me and Framedragger and Barn Chevy were parked in the middle up wind (even with) from the porta-pissers.
Met Animal Ain in the "shiny car" area and 50Fraud was there and about a hand full other Hambers I can't recall the nics of (sorry) but they are from Yucaipa.
It was unusually cool weather and people were having parties everywhere.
No, I didn't even take a camera... http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
I decided I was going to "live" the day instead of just documenting other people living.. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Yeah it sure was... especially since our life has been in a blender lately. Some good stuff and some bad but just a lot to contend with. It was good just to spend the day with my wife. Course, it woulda been better if I left the cell phone at home! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
I'm definately going back for that mug!

He drives a beautiful green with tan leather "fraud" '50 crown vic hardtop which is actually a '51 with a 50 front end with the single spinner. (they didn't make that model in '50)
