Help! been without a hood for 2 years .... 49 Ford hood swap

I have finally found a hood but its off of a 50 ... has anyone swaped a 50 hood onto a 49? The braces and hinges are different. The brace I have off of my 49 broke and is in bad shape. should I fix the brace or replace my hinges with 50 hinges?? Thanks guys!

I've never run into any problems changing hoods. I've put 51 on 2 different 50's but just assumed 49 and 50 were the same. If a pair of 51 hinges will help you out I have a pair. I also have a 51 hood with some northwest rust in it.

I've swapped 'em back and forth by changing the inner panel and hinges. Seems like there's 3 screws on each side attaching the hinge panel to the hood skin. If I remember right, only 4 holes line up when swapping hoods/hinges/inner structures around. I believe this is a 50 hood on my 49 Coupe....
