Some of you guys I get to see once a year, and since HRR moved from BGKY, there's NO place else for me to see the cars and action like Mokan---and best of all, it's people I know(kinda/sorta) out there smokin' the hides :D

I am already losing sleep...I tried to tell the wife how much fun driving to the middle of nowhere, drinking in a parking lot with 2-300 people you know only by a tiny picture of an obscure car, then waking up and going drag racing in the middle of a cornfield with a hangover is! Throw in a brisk 40 mile walk through row after row of rusty junk, and it's heaven on earth!

I'm cleaning up the HA/GR tomorrow, checking everything several times, going to work Monday and Tuesday and leaving for Mokan at 0500 Wednesday morning. I'm past ready!:D:D

Going to the Minnesota Street Rod Hot Rod Drags (for members only) at Brainerd tomorow. Then, on to Mo-Kan next weekend. Just looked at a map and realized Joplin is a fair bit south of Kansas City. Looks like 3 more hours of driving for me. But, I've heard it's well worth it.

Tomorrow I install the posi gears I picked up, change out a leaky and worn out rear AFB, do some tuning and we leave early Thursday morning. Hope to get some better times this year with a little traction (and a few other problems worked out) .

Yeah Root, I can say that I am finally ready. Thurs nite drove the digger for the first time. What a blast. Just did about a 300ft lauch, towed it back to the parking lot, then it started raining. MoKan or bust.

I'm positive that the raceabaker will make it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The motor and trans go in tomorow and then just all the little b.s. of getting crap buttoned up. I'm putting the final assembly on the long block as I type this. I've got to wait a few minutes for the gasket maker to firm. I've had nine kinds of hell with this so hopefully everything goes well. Tuesday evening I'll be able to take her out of the shop a test drive. I better finsh this up and get crackin.

My garage looks like a bomb went off in it. Started this project from scratch last November after my first visit to the HAMB Drags. I should have just put my bed in the garage for the last 30 days. It just hit me this morning. I'm a little slow, and I didn't get the coupe fixed until this weekend.

Calling for a trailer this morning, and a motel in Springfield gave me the "I can't wait" feeling in my stomach. I'm going to be officially worthless the next few days at work.
