Chev and Canadian Pontiac are the same.
Olds, Buick and I'm pretty sue American Pontiac are different.

All I know is that the Olds frames have about 3"+/- longer wheelbase than the Chevys (you can see the difference in the distance from the front wheel opening to the leading edge of the door.). I saw a 49 Pontiac frame once, and it looked very similar to a 47 Caddy frame... built with more I-Beam looking pieces instead ot the "top-hat" stuff the Chevys use. I am thinking that the Ponchos' wheelbases were in between the Chevy and Olds, but not sure.

i'd say that pontiacs are even longer than oldsmobiles if they aren't the same length. defintiely longer than chevy. the pontiac is longer to accept the straight 8.

The Pontiacs are the same as Oldsmobile. The only difference being the coil rear on Oldsmobile and lever shocks on the front like the buick. The Pontiac runs tube shocks like the Cadillac. The Chevy wheelbase is shorter than the other G.M's.
