Hi Folks. Just found this site & could use some advice. Am liquidating my Dad's estate and have some stuff you guys might want but would like to find out what a REALISTIC price for it would be before I put it up for sale. Know I've got a 38 Ford Flathead (60 HP) w/trans. Know block and head are there and Dad thought oil pump and other parts are there somewhere but not sure I'd know em if I saw them. Also have intake w/ twin carbs for about a 50 model. Also have a clock (in dash) for a 37 ford. Who knows what else there is as I have a garage,2 sheds,a school bus, a vw micro bus, and a 52 (?) Ford Panel FULL of stuff to go through. Anyway, would like to get handle on price for the 38 & trans. & the intake w/twin carbs. Local car dealer (thief) offered 300 for all site unseen. Is he close? Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks! Uglymailman

Pretty much ask as much as the traffic will bear. If you get an offer always counter with a higher amount and let the haggling begin.

I know a lot of guys on here don't like Ebay but you would probably get true market value(most a person is willing to pay) for what ever you have. Just be sure to take good pictures, give honest descriptions and start auctions low. Can put a reserve price on items if desired.

Post this over on the main board. It's a good question and it will get more looks over there.

Looking thru the completed auctions on Ebay is the way to find out what the market will bear. Be simple with the item description " such as - 38 ford or flathead", and listings will come up sometimes to id other parts you may have.
