Check out this trailer for Stacy Peralta's new docutmentary about the pioneers of surfing. Not wholly hot rod related, but there are some surf cars shown, and I'm sure some of you will appreciate the timewarp. Some nice title graphics and neat vintage movie clips.

Man, all my friends and myself would soak up every last bit of Skateboarder magazine back in the very late 70's into the 80's when it took a shit and Action Now took over. Oh well, there was a bunch of skaters here in Phoenix, what a fun time. I still ride them every once in a while, 39 yrs. old, no damn hair, I bet it's a sweet site.

Unless you have seen a surf movie in a small venue at the beach with a bunch of guys that surfed all day, you just can't grasp the "stoke..........." COWABUNGA!!!! Thanks Don for the link.......... http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Christian - yeah there is a Dogtown movie coming out its called "Lords of Dogtown" I dont think its the same as the documentary. It has actors for the charactors, I know there is a guy who skates for Black Label and he is playing Tony Alva, skatin and actin... Should be cool...

Thanks for the post -- this one went to the top of my Netflix list. There's a DVD just out called Billabong Odyssey. No retro footage, but if you want to see a modern day big wave hunt with some unreal footage, check it out.
