hooking up a sun tach and questions

Ok i'm a retard and can't figure out the search forum correctly. trying to hook up my sun tach and transmitter. on the transmitter there is ground (i can figure that one out) dist, which should go to the coil, the negative and positive, not sure where those go. on the tach there is "ign sw" (which is connected to the light) "trigger" and "ground neg" not 100% sure where those will go....help anyone? transmitter is a EB-7A and tach is IT-253 if that helps.
