Droppin Valves! And other misc. road mishaps...

Anyone gots any good road stories? Ones where limbs are severed and teeth are ground off of their respective gears? Rearend blowups? It's late, I'm tired, and I'm gonna go to bed. I don't have any real good road stories (yet).

back in the early 70's i was cruising around with a guy iwent to high school in a 54 chevy and he had replaced the steering wheel with a newer smaller one and i was unsure at the time if that was a good idea, since his question about cars were odd if not inquisitive ,like the time he asked if the pistons still go up and down when a car is in park???well anyhow going around a corner and hill coming into town the wheel comes off!!!!i freaked out ,he handed me the wheel and said just a sec he reached around under the seat and pulled out a vice grip and clamped it on the shaft just in time to go clean off the road and down the grasss hill it is amazing the amount of items ,dirt and other things that come from nowhere when your bouncing all around ,got it stopped and thats when he said he had screwed up the threads and just found another nut that seemed to tighten!!! no deaths or amputations,but i never rode with him again
