I know you guys that drive your rides dont get this but for those of us eith race cars and trailers it would be great if we can keep the north side of the lot open for trailers and rigs, it works out real well if we can and let the cars have good spots all around themotel, it also helps to limit the traffic jams around the bldg, especially in the back... thanks, Ill hopefully be in that area with hogmtddave, ross auto etc... cya there

We need a "parking steward", and that person should not be me.

I am parking on the south side....about 3 blocks away.
Is this the area where Hog Mtn Dave was parked in 05?
If so, that is where I planned on parking, as it is long enough that you can park a trailer and vehicle together in this area.

Those spots are pretty deep. Big enough for an 18 wheeler. There's enough room for a car to park behind the trailers at night too. It's a good spot if you park it and don't need to move until it's time to go to the track on Saturday.
Saturday night is a different story. I've never been able to get back in the lot, but we get back late.
I parked there in 05 also. It worked perfect. I will need there again this year, save me a spot someone.

Maybe there would be some way we could "stake out" our spot for when we get back!!! I will think on this.....

The plan right now is to get there by 2pm on Friday. The earlier the better. I don't know how well saving a spot will work but it's worth a shot.
New lettering was brushed on the coupe today, looks good.

I'm thinking we will be there by noon also, the only thing is we have to hit the liquor store and some other places once we hit town. We have to some of that 6point beer! Not the watered down stuff we have here in Tulsa!
The problem has always been the Auto transports that must have a contract with the hotel or something..............

Root, is this a business lot or personal residence (Jim?). I'd like to do the same too if possible. I'd just unload my Model A and drive it to the Ramada leaving the truck/trailer away from the hotel caos.

Actually, I am staying at a a different hotel. Last year we had to double park just to get everyone back in the lot after the drags. Too much hassle for me. I'll walk to the host hotel and look at everyone's cars.

Last year I stayed across the street and kept walking over. That was not that bad till traffic got busy. I might just drive my daily so I don't have to figure out where to park a truck and trailer.:D ;)
How is the parking at the Days Inn?
I just got a call from the Ramada Inn and some of the rooms are being re-modeled and they have moved me to the Days Inn.
It is not a problem, but I will be pulling a trailer with the HA/GR on it, and was wondering if there would be a problem parking it.
Has anyone stayed there before? If you have, please respond to this post and let me know.
Thanks, Robert
I just stopped by the ramada and asked if it would be cool if I where to go down there on trusday morning with some hamb cones and stake out some trailer parking. The manager is going to call me tuesday, so when i hear th verdict i'll let you guys know.
also no aa meetings or anything else planned for that weekend.the huy at the front counter said that we had the whole hotel booked.

If we have the hole place, we should be able to arrange the parking however we want.
We are, after all, "Ryan's people"!!!
