Well bad news everyone,
The crank, rods, and pistons that I had ordered 2 weeks ago won't make it to the machine shop in time. I just found out yesterday that Scat has sold 150 cranks and I guess they didn't have enough to go around so now my junk is on back order. O well thats all part of growing up.

Getting one step closer ever day. I just got my hedders blasted and coated white. Should look kinda cool, gold block and heads with white headers and pulleys.

My thoughts exactly, but I've gotta kill time till parts come in! Tomorow the fun begins, trying to put my slicks on the ole raceabaker. I'll try and have someone post some pics as soon as possible. The car is a 51 studebaker bullet nose coupe. When I was 14 I was lucky enough to have my father ask me what kind of car I wanted when I turned sixteen. Well when I told him I wanted a Studebaker he almost fell over(he's a die hard mopar guy). On my 15th birthday he woke me up and took me outside and to my suprise I was looking at a 1951 studebaker coupe!!!!!!!!! I worked on this ole car night and day all sumer long, after school, and then more work the next summer. We had it running the night before we went to the southwest nats in the city. Now the thrash continues this time for the hamb drags. My father calls twice a day to get progress reports. And without the support of him or any of my friends and evan a few kind words from you guys this latest endevour wouldn't work out. So in closeing I'll keep all you fine folks posted on progress and when I rumble into the parking lot at the ramada, let the celabration begin!

Well today was a slow day but still made progress.Got lots of little stuff done. Got my puke tank mounted swithched out steering wheels and so on.Plus just gave the ole girl the once over to make sure I wasn't over looking any major saftey concerns. I hate to say this but it looks like I might just make it!!! My plans for the rest of week are: get my trans crosmember built( switched from t350 to a glide) and build a driveshaft loop. I think after thats done its just going to be assembly and then drop the motor and trans in the beast. Well I'll keep everyone posted, sorry to bore anyone but shit this stuff is exciting to me!

Man all this hurry up and wait crap is killing me!!! I have all my parts just sitting in the floor of the shop. I did put my shifter in the car. I've cleaned everything and now I've got nothing to do. Well I did sit in the ole girl and make engine noises and shift the gears, but that was fun only once or twice. I guess its just the calm before the storm.
