I was talkin about the Linc motor few months ago in an earlier thread. Now I got that 337 package here and have that 23 bucket, a 32 front axle and most of the other shit together. But I have no frame and rear axle. I can get an A frame. And want to keep 5 1/2 boltpattern all around. Will a boxed A frame handle that heavy bitch? Could I modify an Ford 8" axle to 5 1/2 boltpattern. Should I mess around with the Hydramatic or try to get a big Ford truck bellhousing? I know a lot of questions.........

No reason why the A frame won't handle the Linc-mill.I might build an X member in the center if it were me.
If you don't use the Lincoln tranny what have you got in mind. Do you have access to a '39 3 gear?

Yes I still have 46 3spd here and could get a 37/40 box I could put in the 46 gears. But I tought more about a Ford F6/7 bellhousing/flywheel and mate a 50/60's box to it.The prom is we don't have any big Ford trucks over here. The few that where army surplus are long gone to scrap metal heaven.
