I'm getting ready to buy front brakes for my coupe, and I remember seeing a couple people say that they have had great luck with _____ . That's where I draw a blank. Also, Yesterday I read where a guy got his a__ chewed for asking if anyone had problems with eelco / NorthWest Speed. I didn't know they had bad problems, then again I've never tried to buy anything from them...
Point of the story, would it be benificial / simple to add a page with vendor names and "feedback" so if a guy wants to order something... he can look at where other HAMBers have given them a score. Then when you want to order something from Joe's house of Crap, you can look and see that everyone else has had problems. Along with the warnings, it may help to say "Alliance First - otherwise try here" and then maybe I could find that place I can't remember the name of.....
As always, I'd go Alliance Vendor first, but some things aren't available through A.V.'s .... yet.
Just a thought,
Kamp

It's aready been done. It's called a search. Of course you need to assume that the person with the good/bad experience is honest themselves.

Flat-Top Bob,
Thanks, I looked in there as well as the alliance vendors, but didn't think any of them sold the early ford brake parts (other than Lincoln parts). Thought about this more and figured it probably wouldn't work that great anyway... I was just thinking maybe this would help 1) find alternative parts suppliers 2) reduce the 3 pages of "Idiot, didn't you do a search?" ranting about how this has already been done before. I appreciate your response and help though!

pissininthewind - sure... you tell me the name of the company I can't remember and I'll do a search.:D

Check with Eric at riley-auto.com (http://www.riley-auto.com/)

His screen name here on the HAMB is Vaphead, and he is well versed in all things early Ford. Even if he can't get you the parts, he'll surely know which direction to point you towards.
