ok guys, 66 ford truck, leaf spring rear.
should apply to any parralel leaf spring rears...
when i build shock mounts, do they have to be "in phase"?
the end of the individual shocks, the attaching bolts, do they have to be parralel, or is it ok to mount them like a "+"
reason im askin is that i put the axle on top of my springs and c-notched the frame, eliminating the top mount, and the bottom mount was way crooked.
should i run a square tube across the frame, and mount the top of the shocks to that, or build a mount off the boxing plate?
bottom one is not too bad, find a 3" hole saw and use some 2x4 tubing i have layin around, and drill some holes in it...
where can i look up shocks and find one that fits? anyone have a good website or source? do the books at NAPA have good "universal" shock descriptions?
thanks
