Unfortunate that a leader anywhere near as great is nowhere to be found today...

Early in his acting days he was a announcer at auto races. Was the first to court NASCAR and will be missed by all. <<RIP>>

It take a confident man to cut in on Sinatra! Of course, even the "chairman" didnt have the pull Ron did http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Many of us here are in our 30s or younger and dont remember how bad the economy and interest rates were in the 70s. Reaganomics turned this around.

He was a great man presiding over great times, he will be missed.

I remember my old commander in cheif fondly. He broke the dark Jimmy Carter years and brought back Pride and a mission to the Military. I was proud to serve under him.

As with many of our presidents, he was the right man at the right time. Tho no one person can take credit I believe that it was his tenaciy that finally put an end to the cold war and ended the Soviet Union as it stood for so many years.
Rest in Peace Mr. President.

For a long time coming he's been the namesake of my future daughter (Reagan). Nevertheless, a life lived to the fullest. He has and will be missed.

“Whatever else history may say about me when I’m gone, I hope it will record that I appealed to your best hopes, not your worst fears; to your confidence rather than your doubts. My dream is that you will travel the road ahead with liberty’s lamp guiding your steps and opportunity’s arm steadying your way.” - Ronald Reagan

<font color="green">As sad as his passing is the fact that he was the last President worth his salt.

He and Nancy were also the last people who brought any class to the White House. </font>

Nancy Reagan is an example for all to live by. She stuck by his side all the way to the end. I've seen her speak about what she was going through, and she's tougher than most folks realize.

Let's put some Irish on this wake...

Whenever someone passes, mourning is appropriate, but it is time to celebrate his life. He lead from the front and was an inspiration to the world. He is the first person I ever voted for.

My wife's father died from Alzheimer's, it is a terrible disease that robs you of your memory.

Thank you Mr.Reagan... I drink a toast to you.
