Need help with viewing preferences

Eveytime I open a thread to read it, the screen automaticaly jumps to the bottom of the first page.
Is there a way to stop this or is it something goofy with my computer?

It will go to the newest reply since you last logged on...If a post had three replys the last time you were on the HAMB, and you came back the next day and it had two more, you would be taken to the fourth reply. (If you clicked on it last time you were on the HAMB or not)

If a post says: Someone build my hotrod! 100 2 (1)

It means MBL's post was viewed 100 times and the last time you were on the HAMB there were 2 replys, and since then, there was 1 more...you will be taken to the third one automatically.

Oh kinda like when you see a post: "Please Tell Me How to Get dv8 off his ass and stop watching us do all of the work"...Every time you see that he posts a snappy comeback/excuse there will be a (1) next to the post and when you go to it it will bring you just below the last post you viewed.
By the way do you know how to get dv8 off his ass?

I hnow about it taking you to the last reply you read tin the thread, but it's going to the bottom on threads when I read it for the first time.
