Hope to see you in Pleasanton this weekend. Thanks to Terry (38Chevy454) for donating his entry fee to the HAMB.

<font color="green">That's odd...
"Garage Grown" means something entirely different around here.
I thought we were going to get some sorta hydroponics tech tip or something.

I get to beat my head against the wall instead this weekend. It's the wife's birthday weekend and sadly Pleasanton isn't in the cards for me. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif I know, the wife is more important...no doubt about that...but I've a hot rod itch that needs scratching! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

We were told California only. Indy doesn't apply because of the racing, at least for the $25 donation to the HAMB. Jim and Kirk will have to clear this up. Maybe for Indy it will be a $40 donation?

Sorry for the confusion. I set up the donation thing with this event to see how things went. Nothing was offered for the Indy event even though we are predicting a great turn-out.
We will DEFINITELY be continuing the "GARAGE GROWN" area well into the future, but with one response to this trial event not sure it's worth using up 8 pages on the HAMB for one donation.
Thanks again for all the interest, see you in Pleasanton & Indy.

I'm looking forward to the show, look for me in my 37 Chevy truck, maroon color, in the Garage Grown area. Come by and say hi, introduce yourself if I haven't already met you.

My kid had a baseball tournement this weekend...until Friday morning when they cancelled it....so I may show up if the ol truck will start up!
I haven't a clue what this is all about, but that could be age-related. With Sam regretting he's gonna miss, it sounds interesting and important.

Well it seems Mike that all the "kids" are crazy for traditional rods & kustoms these days so we figured a way to capitalize on that would be to have a special area for them to hang out inside our events. (that was just a tad sarcastic http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif)
Really it is an area inside the G@#%$^*&s events set up just for "real rods & kool kustoms". The last one in Pleasanton was pretty cool as in indoor deal with everyone inside comped a free entry. This one is out doors on a prime patch of grassed real estate next to the shade trees and the BBQs. Feel free to bring burgers and briquettes to have your own feast (save me one medium/well). Have some really cool special club plaque style awards made up to give out to "GARAGE GROWN" entrants ONLY!
Could use a little help from a couple people who can show up early and help me "police" the cars entering the area. PM me if you plan on showing up early. Kirk is out of town doing Billetproof so I'm solo on this one. Thanks Jim
