Ok I took some pictures that may give a little better light on the Green Bean Dark secret.
Also what would cause the front to bounce and have speed wobbles at higher speeds? I think the tires may not have been balenced when mounted or the are so damn old there like riding on rocks?

Check your camber in the frt. axle... Regret was bouncing around last year so we took some camber out and it solved the problem....

Looking good man

Mike, the front tires are used?
So were mine, remember the problems I had?
Bias plys get flat spots really easy just from sitting and they become useless even though they're rot free and have lots of tread left.
Bring her up at happy hour and we'll do some camber check and toe in stuff first.

I can't wait to see her in the light, she looks bitching man, not at all Floridian, well just a bit. The smoothies are something we can't help.

Mike them biased plys have flat spots. Throw some spare radials on it for a test cruise. I had the same problem a while back. 45mph and speedwobbles/vibration...

I'm having a similar problem with my roadster. I had the tires balanced off the car, but still had the speed wobble. The next step is this: Have tires shaved round, I have Coker tires and apparently they aren't exactly round; then I'm getting them balanced on the car. If this doesn't do it, I understand that too much caster angle will cause this to happen as well. As mine sits now I have 7° caster I've been told 3-4° is ideal. This is the shopping cart high speed wobble effect.

A word of caution...check out the rest of your chasis bolt on pieces and parts as this wekend coming home from Paso I shook a few things loose with my speed wobbles.

Damn shame your selling it, sure does look nice.
Cheers
Tim

He is CORRECT too much caster is will cause the shopping cart wobble effect - Tire balance issue is typically around 55 - 70 mph and caster will not "plane out". You maybe able to get some adjustment in the heim jts.

Well I just took it down to a buddys shop and had the tires balenced...He said they were WAYYYYYYYYYY out of balence. Im hoping that will be a fix all??? Also I mentioned the high speed wobble..it was at over 50 and my little plastic fan seems to have been shattered.
back to the speedshop for another one http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
