Newbie in central TX

Evening all. Been poking around for a couple monthe now and decided tonight is as good a night as any to introduce myself. I'm 42 and live in Austin TX, been into cars most of my "adult" life. I've had mostly muscle stuff, Firebird conv., a pretty quick 68 Chevy II, 72 Vette etc. sold em all and been on the hunt for something a little different. Just picked up an old 48 Fleetline Aero sedan and I have got a pretty good idea what I want to end up with. I'm going more traditional this time. no big motors and shiny paint. Keeping orig. drivetrain w/some minor mods. Most of my experience is in body and paint with a little fabrication and mech. (you know what they say about a little knowledge, its a dangerous thing!). I'll be looking for advise as this is my first 40's project and they are a little different from what I've had in the past. already got some good ideas on lowering etc. Anyway here is a pic of what I'm starting with.
