Holley 94 differences??

I have two Holley 94's. In the top piece of the carb there is a small difference. One has a tube that protrudes out of the side of the downtube. It is like a breather or something. It exits above the choke butterfly. The other top does not have this.

Last night, fuel was dumping (actually pumping) out of this tube when the float on my carb jammed. I am replacing the float valve so should eliminate the problem but just was going to get rid of this if it is not needed.

Can I simply change over to the one without and not affect the operation of the carb?

what's the motor...if the carb doesn't have it,i wouldn't worry about it,but if it's already there,i wouldn't remove it

I guess I really have jsut been out and about. Clocking up miles in the Roadster...

Its getting cold though, I really need to put that damn roof on!
