Hey folks, figured I'd come over now that I'm registered and introduce myself. I'm on a few other old car and ratrod boards, more of a lurker and kept on seeing h.a.m.b. mentioned. Googled it tonight and found quite a bit of info in here. I have a 63 Rambler that'll be my first true project out of the 4-wheeled world. Hope to make a kickass ratrod out of it , and going to pick up an inline-6 and 3-on the tree for it tomorrow. Hopefully be able to find a steering column and pedal assembly to finish the swap from auto to manual. Look forward to gettin quite a bit of info off this website, and hope to give a bit back to.

Welcome to the HAMB from a fellow Illinoisan. I'm up in Aurora and have a '62 Rambler American wagon. Keep that AMC faith, there's quite a few here.
Post up some pictures of your Classic and don't let breeder scare you, he's a good guy. Not that pretty, but a good guy nonetheless.

It's still in the same condition I bought it, except I cleaned the interior out a bit. Literally just walked in the door from picking up a motor/trans out of an American from Indiana from a guy off the olskoolrodz board. Mine is equipped with an auto, but the trans I just picked up is a 3-speed, which I really want it to have. I have to get a steering column, pedal assemby, and from what I hear, a driveshaft also. Know where any parts cars are?
