Torque tube advice "chev"

how much can I lower a 49 to 52 chev without binding up the u-joint? Can I change the angle of the trans to give it a little more (angle to the dangle), It already has 3 or 4 inch blocks in back.

I taked to a guy at a show with a 54 chevy and air ride sup. and he still had the torque tube rear-end.
he C nothed the frame and the bumper was about 1 inch off the ground.
the owner said no problems with the U joint and he did nothing to the trans angle.
