1950 desoto questions

well my wife and her family surprised me with a nice 50 desoto for my 51st birthday.does any one know the fluid and how much for a fluid drive transmission.the body and interior are great,needs brake work.was in a garage in the midwest for40 years..what part number for the oil filter[251 6 clyinder].thanks

The transmission takes 10W, although it would probably work fine with ATF or 10W30 or gear oil or whatever. The fluid coupling originally used "MOPAR Fluid Drive fluid" or something like that, but I'm pretty sure most fluid drive owners just use ATF and it works fine.
