I am wondering how much interest there would be in a show at Kermit Week's 'Fantasy of Flight'. The idea would be to showcase period cars with vintage planes and maybe invite the VFW and American Legion posts so the guys that flew and built 'em could share some stories before they are gone forever(The Iron as well as the Men).
What do you guys think?

That is an awesome museum and if you know Kermit..., I think he'd go for it....!
Kermit Weeks has a shop up here in Oshkosh close to the EAA headquarters and I've visited EAA many times with my roadster, they seemed to like it when I parked on ramp next to a Corsair, P51, or an old Stearman!
It would be cool to see the old gents and their flying machines!
There is an event in Delevan (?) Wisconsin that is called "Wheels, Wings, and Propellers Show"..., it is located at a country club alongside a lake and has it's own airstrip!!! (Triple Threat!!)
Car's, Airplanes, and Wood Boats!!! A class act of nastalgia! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif
I say plan it and they will come...!

I'd be there and I'm sure the other Tampons would be also. It's right between Tampa and Orlando so those guys would probably make it. He has a Mustangs and Mustangs show earlier in the year.
I would go, but it would have to be in cooler weather. I'm thinking...flagged drag races on the runway!

You're gettin' it!
I guess I need to make a trip down there and talk to the man.
Season opener or end of the year prefered?
The logistics of this one could get interesting.
Hmmm....fundraiser for.......???
Thanks gang,

There's an annual show at Half Moon Bay Airport, near San Francisco, called "Dream Machines". It's open to all sorts of cars, trucks, airplanes, tractors, even stationary engines. It's an extremely popular show, and draws a lot of people who probably wouldn't attend a more specialized hot rod event or air show.

I like the idea and would definetly go.
They used to (maybe still do)
have a car show at the Tyco warbird museum.
I haven`t gone in several years but they had a whole bunch of flying T-6 `s
Veterans day would be a perfect time of year.

Sounds cool.
I'd go.
I'll be there if you'll let me bring my T bucket and you have the show on that weekend. If I'm looking at the calendar right, Veterans Day is on a Thursday??
Count me and my pals in. It would be a great day out for the kids too.
Good idea.
I've never been to the museum even though I've lived in Florida for 23 years!!!!!

Sounds like a good time. Count me and my buddy here in Ft Myers in. Any excuse to get the lead out is welcomed. I am hoping for a swap area to pick up and drop off some goods.

I haven't heard back from marketing/sales at the Museum yet.
I'm also trying to get hold of the Mustang guys to see how they run there show.
At least I know there is interest here.
Thanks guys!
