Man that blows! Glad to hear you're ok!
Last week, my Mom totaled her '84 Corvette that she's owned since new... it's like losing a member of the family.

That is enough to make a grown man cry.
The good side is you're ok. In part, I bet, to the fact you were surrounded by real steel and not some plastic imitation.
That is a big reason why I drive a 50 year old truck.
Carry on...

it was still runnin when i came to my sense after i fell out and had to run in and turn the key off. yeah if the frames straight i'm gonna buy it back from the MAN and rebuild it hopefully. or if i find another project, but later in live build another truck just like the one i drove in high school ::sniff sniff:: that shit did make me cry i couldn't believe my baby was gone i just sat at the top of the freeway while some lady was callin 911 and stared at my truck upside down.

Damn, sorry to hear about your accident.
These friggin blonde hair Calif. drivers cant drive for sheeot, especially when they got a cell phone glued to thier ears. "Lack-of-attention-no-common-sense-selfish drivers".
Im glad to hear your okay and that you might put her back on the road.
'Build Ford tough!!!" i say...Got to love that real American Steel!!!

If you decide to rebuild get the frame checked. It may be a LOT cheaper to find another truck and just swap the driveline. Kind of "mybeatupford II" the sequal http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif
I have a friend who rebuilt his '57 Bel Air after a garage fire that actually got so hot we had to replace the top from a donor car and it looks great, so anything is possible, but he could have bought a finished car cheaper. Of course , it wouldn't have been his car, so I do understand the attachment. If I can borrow the scrapbook on the rebuild sometime to scan a few pic you folks would be amazed. Good luck whichever way you go. Remember, any wreck you walk away from is a good one.

Sucks dude... Were you headed to Mac's?
Opened this post thinking, "he sold his rided." Man, I was wrong. Thank the Lord Above you're OK. Looks like the only non-crumply place is the driver's compartment. 2nd wreck I've seen like that. 1st was my uncle, totaled his Chevy truck, only place that was undamaged was the driver's side door and roof. Rest was unrecognizable as a truck.
Someone is telling you that He's not ready for you yet, you still have stuff to do. Count your blessings and say a prayer.

I take it you don't get out much... have you ever seen or read CHP Magazine?? Ever seen what happend to someone in a car when they aren't wearing a seat belt and get into an accident? I didn't think so.
It just amazes me that there are still stupid people out there that believe you're better off not wearing a seat belt.

True dat. One of my coworkers brought his recently restored '69 Camaro into work today to show it off. It was a nice car, except that he removed the seat belts because they weren't original! Like being dead is original or something.

that is not entirely true. todays cars are built a lot safer than they were 50 years ago. the newer cars are built with crush zones that absorb the impact. also the roofs of cars have to be able to withstand twice the weight of the car. had the roof be chopped he would proablly be dead.
i work in the auto collision field. i see all kinds of accidents being towed in to my job. knowing how cars look after an accident is why i always wear my seat belt.
i worked on a car that had rolled over. i just had to square up the roof, skin it and send it on its way.

Aw SHIT! thats sucks... Shoulda just run it into the soft, squishy plastic car in front of you!
Glad you're all right, you are one LUCKY sumbich by the sound of it.
My drunk-ass half brother would be alive today... okay, well, woulda walked away from the rollover at least, had he been wearing his belt.
If I hafta get in a wreck, I want it to be in the new car with the 4 airbags, padded dash, crumple zones, and the integral cage. Best part about it, insurance will GIVE me another one...

The last fatality accident I went to, involved a jaguar and a hyundai. The lady in the hyundai walked away, and the roof was cut off the jag to get the guy out. He didn't make it. Glad to see you made it out of this one.
