DP 40 question

Will DP 40 epoxy primer work on bare aluminum, as well as on top of the factory finish? Is there anything special I need to do to get it to adhere well? It's my first time spraying it, and it's for another teacher, so I want it to work well, and last awhile. Thanks for the info.

I have used DP-90 on bare aluminum Airplane dashes
An it worked fine, Get it super clean and scuff with a red scotch brite pad to give it a little tooth then clean again
before spraying. It should be fine.
