Here it is guys...BIG ANNOUCEMENT!
Things have really worked out in the last year career wise, so it's time for one more wacky idea to come true.
We are opening an art gallery up here in the next few weeks dedicated to automotive/hot rod/custom culture art and those who make it. The only full time gallery in Canada of it's kind. We have some incredible shows planned.
Jeff Norwell (Brush), Johnny Ace, and few other HAMBers will be on display. Jeff and Johnny will be there in the flesh, holding hands. Johnny, don't make Jeff dance alone!
I still working on some getting other well known artists and their work up for the show.
Do you paint, draw, take photos? Stripers, scupltures? Do you know somebody who deserves to be displayed?
We want to hear from you! Show us what you got!
We have 2000 sq ft we want to fill with your cool shit.
The official grand opening kicks off with a traditional rod & custom show/BBQ (1st Annual Rust in The Dust) the first weekend of August. Saturday July 31st is the show during the day followed by a BBQ camp out at our place that night and Sunday the 1st is going be (if I can get insurance outta the way) 1/8th mile drags at the airport the next town over. Plus a way cool junkyard tour with special prices for us.
The first 35 confirmations will get a shirt with show flyer printed on it and a camping spot at our house for the party. I have folks coming from as far as Arizona and Idaho. All HAMBers are invited. The show is free and BBQ/camp out is $10 a head to cover the food. BYOB.
We are in southern Britsh Columbia (Osoyoos, BC), 2 hours from Spokane, 4 hours from Vancouver and Seattle on HWY #97 at the junction HWY #3.You got 2 months notice! Be there!!
Watch this post for more info or check the website.(which I'm still building! Be patient)

Thanks for posting the map! Couldn't find it last night.
A bit off the beaten path but it's a tourist town from May til end of September. Plus there are 7 car clubs within 100 miles of town and 35 shows this summer in the valley.
"Build it and they will come."
Hey Johnny, don't worry. Jeff will hold ya if you get spooked. It's more like "Deliverance" than anything. Can you squeal like a pig? hahahaha!
We just drink too much beer and wear funny hats. And I saw those R.F party pix...Maybe we should just come down there.
Every HAMBer is more than welcome plus a special HAMB rate for art purchases.

Sounds like a good idea. I'm sure gonna try and hit Cloverdale. I'll see if can find wideglide and go. I know the drags are that weekend but it was the only weekend when something stupid wasn't happening here.

That's what I want to hear! Hope you guys can make it out here. Would be great to meet you! There's a Bonneville racer from Penticton I was going to ask if he would bring his car down for the show.
I'll be doing B'ville this year after a 3 year break. Gonna meet up with BobK and the gang at mile 5.

Dick Knorr and Black Opal 666? He's from somewhere in the interior, and off the top of my head I can't remember if its Kelowna or Penticton.
Whether I make it out ther or not you'll have to stop by the N49 pit when you're in Bonneville and have lunch with us one day. We've got the best chef on the salt.

I'll try and make it up. My wife wanted to go to Osoyoos this summer anyway and it's only a couple hour drive.

Hey Way! You beat me to it! I was going invite you, your wife and your crowd today! You are more than welcome to come up!
And Cword, it is Dick. He's in Penticton. I've yet to approach him about showing of his salt car. And I NEVER turn down lunch invites!
Trying to work a deal with few local hotels for special rates for us 'cause the camping spots might get a bit tight!
Stay tuned!

Excellent.
Dicks Crew and ours plan to pit together this year. Likey we'll end up with a "little Canada" section again. Last year 4 crews got together Scott Bearisto, Gary Weldon, Mike Mcrimmon, and us.

BTTT...Well, looks like I scored today for the show.
Keith Weezner has jumped on board and is pretty excited about the show. He'll be bringing new, never seen before works, JUST for the show. His last car show gig for the summer is this weekend and is ready come see how we do things here. If things go to plan, him and his wife will be here August 1st. We'll also have his shirts and posters etc. Show up and get your stuff signed. For those who don't know his work:

I'm still looking for you photo guys (hey Spike you still out there?) and other traditional artists.
Where are you hiding? I'm up to my neck getting the shop open, so you have to contact me.

I will be in the Okanagan after my daughter's wedding in Vancouver on the 23rd of July. I plan to be there around the end of the month. I wanted to see the Old time drags in Mission, but could see one day of it and then head to Osoyoos. My brother lives in Princeton, not too far from you. Also wanted to see Ken Helm as well. I will have the T-tub with me. Nutz.

On COME ON! How many '75 Novas you need to see run down that stinking strip? Seriously, it was the only weekend nothing was hapening in town.
Spike, git your sheet to me bro! Shortbus and Buick59 you guys too! We have the makings for an awesome show. There is WAY TOO many talents out there for me to find. Help me out!!!
And everyone is still welcome. If you can't make it, you can't. Just spread the word to those who can!
And my garage, tools, and knowledge are here for the long haulers!
Anybody wanna drive Johnny and Kali up? That would worth it alone. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
