A little advice from someone whos gotten stuck in the mud more times than I care to remember (in a jeep though) If the diff. was underwater for any length of time I would replace the fluid, also, you ought to take off the wheels and the drums and hose down the brakes really good, also make sure you get all the mud out of any moving suspension parts, bushings, etc. oh yeah, and if you haven't washed it yet don't rub the car with a sponge or towel or anything until the mud is totally gone, otherwise you'll get nice little scrathes all in your paint and chrome. Hope that helps you! Heres the mud swallowing all 31" of my bald all terrains.

Hmm, dont just use anything to wash it down, soften the dirt and then agitate it by using something that wont just grind the dirt into the paint. The dirt wont cause anything unless theres something rubbing up against it, what rubs against it is what causes the scratches. Sorry I'm a detailer http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Of couse most of you all know, thats my old C-Dan. well, the owner is notorious for not getting the car dirty. After seeing what I did to his coupe (both the changes, and getting it muddy) I think he was trying to change his image. I was standing right at that spot when he saw me and turned right into the mud hole. I thought he was trying to splash me or something. It was definitely a deliberate action. I'm just glad hes treating it like a car instead of a place to put stickers and cry baby dolls!

whats funny is the guy waits in the sedan while the guy with the tractor has to walk in the mud to hook him up! wonder how "careful" he was hooking up?

Boones, I was on that bus with my buddies. We hopped in a car and drove over -- not realizing how close it was.

Word has it that the bus driver / tractor driver wasn't too happy about the cars getting stuck in the mud. Apparently real drivers don't let that happen. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif The bus driver is also apparently the force behind the museum.

the "Driver" is no other than Lynn Paxton. Hes a dirt track champ and a THE force behind the track and the museum. Also a very nice guy. And be lucky you weren't on the bus last year when he crossed it up on the track while it was full of people. That was funny...
