I was at a buddys' place this afternoon to look at all his caR PARTS he's gonna sell tomorrow. He owns a resturaunt locally and he's sitting all his stuff out today to sell tomorrow. On one of the tables is an aluminum flathead 6 cylinder head marked Hudson....has some Hudson markings cast into it but I've forgotten what it says. Is this a part I should be buying if i can score it cheap? Anybody know hudson stuff?

i don't know if it's worth anything but it sounds cool. if you can score it for a good price and want to make a couple bucks on it (within reason) i might like it just to hang on the wall. email me if so.

Hudson ruled early NASCAR racing for many , many years. AAMF , it was up into the late60's or early 70's before any other make won as many races as Hudson . Their dual carb Hornet engine was legendary in circle track racing . The cars handled superbly ,due to the frame and body being lower than most cars of that era. If I were you, I would check that head out and see if you can score it reasonably. I don't think it's "unobtanium" , but you never know whats dear to a collector.

Don't sell it to that "goldchainer" Mike... to hang on the wall... sell it to ME to use on a badass 308! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Coool score, whatever you decide to do with it!

I bought a six banger one for the price of scrap (at the recycle center) and sold it on Epay for 70 coin. But it did not have any cracks and was in REAL good condition.

Thanks everybody.....Tomorrow is the missus' burfday and I said I'd spend the day with her. But maybe I can escape long enough to go to this guy's sale/auction and score heavily on the head..

I had one two years ago and it took a year to sell but finally got $100 from a Hudson collector. You need to target an item like that to a Hudson collector or it will just sit around. They do make cool wall hangers!!!!

My buddy's dad had probably over 100 Hudsons in his lifetime. He will tell you that Hudson collectors in general are the cheapest, tightest collectors around and don't pay shit for anything. He has the whole driveline laying in his garage out of his 36 and all of the Hudson collectors he knows are too tight to even pay for gas to go get a FREE motor. Try the white triangle club. They might be of some help.
