I am new to this site. Have been around cars for many years and have built my share. I have a question for you all out there in the siber world of H.A.M.B ? Have a 1935 Ford pickup truck,,Flathead, 3speed, and 3.54 gaers in the 35 Banjo, Bias-ply whites and lot of Patina. She runs HOT,,,Why? I have changed water pumps, distributor, carb, fuel pump, and put 2 new thermostats in, which it never had and still ran hot I think the water was moveing to fast. So I went to slow it down, still hot. Also got New radiator in her. Good clean motor has No water in the oil at all. Any one out there with an idea to send me on what to do for the Hotty?? Has single carb, stock cam and heads. Could it be a or both head gaskets? When it runs cool for a few milesonly she runs Gooood. Thanx

hi there, sorry cant help with your prob, wanted to ask about the gears in your rear axle, where did you get them? were they 6 or 10 spline? did you have to modify the torque tube?

If your motor has been rebuilt you wouldn't know if maybe they knocked the freeze plugs inside the motor. Just a thought, I have heard about this happening and causing engines to over heat.

If you have changed all that stuff, you either have a crack problem or head gaskets.Flatheads do not have freeze plugs.Do you want to sell it?775-742-5847
