Hey fellows,

For some reason there was a 50 something packard sitting in the local pick-a-part the other day. I checked it out but didn't really see anything I was interested in, since I don't have a Packard and it was pretty well picked over already. Someone had already removed the cylinder head, but I found it sittin in the trunk.

My plan now is to put chrome accorn nuts in all the bolt holes, paint it real nice and hang it on the wall. But what color would it have been originally? It's kind of greenish and rusty now.

They were painted the same color as 50's ford flathead engines. Its like a copper gold color. Is it a cast or aluminum head out of curosity. I am looking for a cast head to replace a slightly cracked alumninum head on a packard.
