I've never seen the Fenton, and I've never heard if it is good or not. Alot of the older Y block 3x2 setups, (Offy, certain Edelbrocks 553?, etc.) were not very good in terms of flow.
Also, try the Yblocks Forever tech board...

Having scanner issues, soon as I get em fixed I'll have those pages scanned for you. Email me or PM me your email address and I'll send them directly to you. You have high speed or dialup?

hey thanks deyomatic theres plenty of articles there to keep me busy for a few hours, I bought the intake off e-bay for $113 and it looked like it had hardly been used so I took it to work put it in a parts washer it came out brown so I went ahead and bead blasted it, now it looks brand new.

Diesel, you should join the forums and tell them what your plans are. There are a couple of EXPERTS there that would know about your front/rear sump questions. I usually only check the "technical" forum.

Rear sump pan is a truck pan, they have a nice look to them.

Yes you need a "Tbird" or a truck pan to put a y-block in a shoe box. You will also need the oil pump pickup tube, bellhousing, and flywheel. I am planning the swap and gathering parts for it myself. The August 1956 Car Craft gives you the complete how to.

Go with the 94's, they flow better than the 97's, and they are easier and cheaper to find.

Thanks guys finally Ive been asking the same question for about 3 weeks or more on diffrent boards and now I have my answer, the good thing is the 292 is in a 1964 ford truck so it should already have the right oil pan pick up tube and all the fixins, a guy I work with collects that body style truck but always yanks the y-block out and drops in an FE or small block, he has at least one complete running one with a 4 speed bell housing anyone need a 4 speed bell housing for a y-block let me know and again thank you everyone for your help.

Go with 97's would be my opinion,
Much easier to set up...rebuild them, and the LEAK is a MYTH....

94's are GARBAGE...
To much tinkering...

I have alot of y-block parts, and some amount of knowledge...

Its the TRUCK one correct?

the bell housing is for the 4 speed that would have been in a 1964 pick up not sure of the exact trans. I probably need a diffrent set of exhaust manifolds if you have any.
