Anyone driving the the HAMB Drags from LA area?

I am doing a monster road trip which is taking me down Rt. 66 to LA, and then to the HAMB drags, then home.

So, anyone going to the HAMB drags from the LA area and want to caravan down? I will be driving the 49' Fleetline.

When abouts are you guys leaving?

We usually leave from elpolacko's shop around noon on the wednsday prior.

That's one hell of an ironman road trip. If you make it to the Drags, I'll buy you a cold one.

So, is that the 23rd of august? Its about a 16 hour drive according to mapquest, so you get there on thursday night?

We are considering taking US40 all the way accross to the other coast and hitting dragoncon on the way home...but I think that will be a little too much.
